    3. OBIT # 5253 - EVENING NEWS - MARCH 28,1939 The funeral of the late Dr. C.C. MacINTOSH was held yesterday under the auspices of the Presbytery of the United Church. In the morning at ten o'clock a service was held in St. James Church, Antigonish, where the deceased had ministered for the past seven years. In the afternoon a second service was held in Sharon-St. John Church, Stellarton. It was very largely attended, the large church being filled to capacity by those anxious to pay a tribute to the memory of the late clergyman. The service was in charge of Rev. Gerald Rogers, Pictou. He was assisted by Rev. Mr. Matthews, Truro, and Rev, Donald Fraser, Stellarton, who read the passages of scripture; Rev. Mr. Stirling of Scotsburn, who led in prayer; Rev. Prof. James Falconer, of Pine Hill College, who paid tribute to the interest he took in Pine Hill. Rev. T.E. McLennan, present minister of Sharon-St. John , on behalf of the people of that church paid tribute to the memory of their former pastor. Rev. Mr. McDonald of Hopewell pronounced the benediction. A very large choir under the direction of Mr. C. Banks led the singing. Following the church service the Freemasons of Keith Lodge No.23 of which Dr. MacIntosh had been a Past Master as well as Past Grand Chaplain of the Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia, took charge of the remains and they were interred with Masonic honours in Brookside cemetery.
