Born at Hemford, she waas a daughter of the late George and Annetta (Crouse) Smith. She was a member of Springfield United Baptist Church, Springfield. She was a great supporter of the New Germany and Area Medical Centre, assisting with fund- raising in every way. Surviving are daughters, Ruth (Mrs. Russell Conrad), Springfield; Inez Notarangelo, Falkland Ridge; Beryl Deal, Meisner's Section; Vivian Charlton, Lake Pleasant; sons, Rollen, New Germany; Terry, Monastery; sister, Sadie MacKenzie, Bridgewater; 20 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Terry; daughter, Annetta Zinck; sisters, Abia, Cecelia, Flora, Ella; brothers, Edward, Ishmael, Horton, Roland, Melford. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in New Germany Funeral Home, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday in Springfield United Baptist Church, Rev. Brian Wheaton officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Springfield Volunteer Fire Department, New Germany and Area Medical Centre or Springfield United Baptist Church.
