OBIT # 5236 - EASTERN CHRONICLE - APRIL 6, 1939 ALEXANDER T. HALLIDAY On Saturday night, ALEXANDER THOMAS HALLIDAY of Green Hill died in Aberdeen Hospital where he had been a patient for several weeks. His health had not been good for some months. He was in the 79th year of age and had been born and lived all his years on the top of Green Hill. His wife, SARAH SYLVESTER died thirteen years ago. They had no family. Mr.Halliday was one of the fine type of country gentlemen , liked and enjoyed by all who knew him for his excellent qualities of heart and mind. He leaves kindly memories with all who knew him. He was a staunch Presbyterian and a steadfast supporter of the Liberal party. The funeral was held on Tuesday from the home of R.G. ROSS, Alma. It was conducted by the Rev.Mr. MacLellan. The Oddfellows of Westville interred the remains with honors
