Gordon James Fraser Bridgewater Bulletin Gordon James Fraser, 78, Dayspring, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 19, at the D.M. Hospital following a brief illness. Born at Dayspring, he was a son of the late Caleb and Albertha (Hiltz) Fraser where he lived his entire life. He was a member of the Baptist Church and took a great interest in the work of the church. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Hamm); one daughter, Marjorie (Mrs. Asaph Penney); two sons, Harry, Dayspring; and Arthur, Toronto; three sisters, Mrs. Lara Kelly and Mrs. Muriel Conrad, Dayspring; and Mrs. Josephine Russell, Lynn, Mass.; and one brother, Melbourne, Halifax; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Zilpha Lohnes in 1959; a son, Lester; and two brothers and one sister. Funeral service was held from Wamback's Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 21, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Melville Scott. Hymns sung were "Nearer, My God to Thee" and "Abide With Me." Interment was in Dayspring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Zwicker, Walter Bolivar, Douglas Hirtle, and Reginald Snyder.
