OBIT # 5311 - EASTERN CHRONICLE - 28 NOV 1930 The people of McLennan's Mountain and vicinity were saddened by the passing away of HARVEY HEFFERMAN who was fatally wounded on Wednesday the 19th. In spite of efforts to save his life, he passed away at Aberdeen Hospital on Friday,, 21st. On Monday a great many friends gathered to pay their last tribute. The funeral services were conducted by Revs. C.C. McIntosh and H.A. Heffler of Stellarton assisted by the Choir of McLennan's Mountain Church. The deceased leaves to mourn his loss, besides his sorrowing parents, Mr. and Mrs. JOSEPH HEFFERMAN, six sisters and two brothers, viz., MINNIE (Mrs. Nathan Snow); MARGARET (Mrs. Herman Clyburn); BARBARA, (Mrs. George Allard); LOUISE (Mrs. Frank Speers); HILDA, (Mrs. Frank Cornett); GOLDEN, (Mrs. David Brooks); HOWARD, in Ontario; and William at home. Also an aged grandmother, Mrs. Pellier, who makes her home with her daughter, Mrs. Hefferman. All the brothers and sisters were present at the funeral, with the exception of HOWARD, who was unable to come home. Harvey Hefferman was liked by all he came in contact with. He was always pleasant and cheerful, besides being a strong and willing worker, and faithful in carrying out his duties, and many expressions of regret at his untimely passing were heard. The Hefferman family have the sympathy of everyone in their sad bereavement. (*Harvey Hefferman was shot in a hunting accident. This was not in the obit)
