W. Murray Heisler 1980 W. Murray "Dup" Heisler, age 71, of 72 Prince Street, Lunenburg, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 1980, at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born at Lunenburg, he was the son of the late Samuel and Sophie (Miller) Heisler. Murray lived all his life in Lunenburg and was a retired stationary engineer from the National Sea Products wherehe was employed for 48 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing as well as baseball, curling, hockey, and track. He was a member of the Brittlebones Skating Club since its beginning, only putting up his skates when he was 69. He was a retired member of the Lunenburg Volunteer Fire Department, serving for 27 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Hilda Beck; son, Douglas of Bridgewater and daughter, Dorothy Cullimore of Bridgewater; seven grandchildren, Carol Ann (Mrs. Gerald Goodine), Lunenburg; Patsy (Mrs.Cecil Bouther), Martin's Brook; Sharon (Mrs. Doug Dorey), First South; Marilyn (Mrs. Clyde Blackmore), St. John's; Doug Jr., Ontario; Sheila, Bridgewater; and Betty, Bridgewater; five great-grandchildren, Terry, Tony, Martin's Brook; Jennifer, Lunenburg; Christopher, St. John's; and Neil, First South; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles two years ago. The body rested at the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg, until Saturday, My 10 at 2 p.m., when funeral service was held at Zion's Lutheran Church, Lunenburg with Rev. James Slack officiating and interment was in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg. Among hymns sung were "How Great Thou Art" and "What A Friend we Have in Jesus." Pallbearers were Billy Dauphinee, Paul Demone, Robert Stoddard, Robert Cleveland, Tommy Hillier, and Johnny Black.
