Mrs. Richard S. Lohnes 1912 Progress Enterprise Published: November 6, 1912. Rose Bay and Riverport News The death of Mrs. Richard S. Lohnes took place at Riverport on Monday, the 28th. inst., after a short illness, ages 40 years. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Lantz, Pleasantville. She is survived by a husband and six children to mourn the loss of an affectionate wife and mother. The late Mrs. Lohnes was a member of the Methodist Church and was quite prominent in the choir and took an active part in all church requirements. The funeral services were held on Wednesday and were conducted by Rev. Hobbs. THe Ladies Auxiliary and the members of the choir preceded the hearse to the cemetery. The floral offerings were truly beautiful, a tribute to the high esteem in which she was held by a host of friends. The funeral was one of the largest in the community.
