Elva Eileen Acker 1997 Halifax Chronicle Herald Elva Eileen Acker, 74, Simpson's Corner, formerly of Upper Northfield, died December 8, 1997, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born at Upper Northfield, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Maude (MacKay) MacKay. She was an affiliate of Upper Northfield United Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Curry; several brothers and sisters. Visitation 2-4 ,7-9 p.m. today in New Germany Funeral Home, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday in Upper Northfield United Church, Rev. Wayne Mitton officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Upper Northfield. Flowers are accepted. Donations to Health Services Foundation of the South Shore or any charity.
