    3. OBIT # 5008 - UNKNOWN PAPER - 14 AUGUST 1942 Kemptown, Aug. 14 1942 - The many friends and relatives of the late Mrs. Margaret IRVING, wife of John C. IRVING, Kemptown, were saddened on Thursday morning to hear of her passing, at the age of 56 years, after an illness of several months, during which time she was faithfully cared for by her loved ones. In her passing, the home and community suffered a severe loss. Being possessed of a cheerful disposition, she made friends wherever she went and always saw the bright side of everything. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles ARCHIBALD, of Kemptown, and is survived by her husband, one daughter (Alice) Mrs. Kenneth POOLE, three sons, David, Elmer, Roland, all of Kemptown, and eleven grandchildren. Also one sister, Mrs. John MARTIN of Winnipeg, who was with her during her illness, three brothers, Alfred of Kemptown, Alex of New Hampshire, Rhuben, of Kelowna, B.C., and a number of niece and nephews. The funeral service was held in the United Church at Kemptown on Saturday, Aug. 16, conducted by her pastor, Rev. J.A. BRADLEY, and was largely attended by friends and relatives, who came to pay their last respect to one they knew and loved so well. Pallbearers were all nephews of the deceased, Stanley ARCHIBALD, George ARCHIBALD, Charles ARCHIBALD, Russel McAULAY, James McAULAY, Thomas McAULAY. The floral tributes were many and beautiful, testifying to the high esteem in which the deceased was held. They were as follows: Broken Circle: Husband, Elmer and Roland; sprays, Dave Irving and family; Alice, Kenneth and family; Cecil, Minnie and family; Alfred, Rosie and family; Percy and Babe CARLYLE; Kemptown, Riversdale Ladies' Aid; Mother, Anna, Wilfed and Mary; John, Ada and Jean; Tom and Family; Mr. and Mrs. Oliver HINGLEY and family; Ed, Isa and Lorraine; Edith and family; Mr. and Mrs. B.F. MATHESON and family; Jean BROWN, Mr. and Mrs. Richard MUNRO and family. Interment was in the Irving cemetery, Mt. Thom.
