Robert Henry Emino 1978 Halifax Chronicle Herald Handwritten date: June 6, 1978. Simpson's Corner- Robert Henry Emino, 83, died Tuesday in the Halifax Infirmary. Born at Midville Branch, he was a son of the late James and Amanda (Oickle) Emino. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the RCR's serving overseas in the First World War. He was a member of New Germany Branch, No. 102, Royal Canadian Legion. Surviving are his wife, the former Sadie Joudrey; two daughters, Pauline (Mrs. Buster Woodworth), Wolfville; Dorothy (Mrs. Fred DeLong), Barss Corner; two sons, Hallett, Simpson's Corner; Aubrey, at home; a foster son, Charlie Sapp, Simpson's Corner; four sisters, Alda (Mrs. Arleigh Varner), Mrs. Violet Turner, both of New Germany; Mabel (Mrs. Ira Snyder), Simpson's Corner; Doris (Mrs. Joe Hedge), Worcester; two brothers, Everett, Cortland, New York; Charlie, Simpson's Corner; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. The body is at Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany. Funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. from Simpson's Corner Union Church, Rev. Sandy MacPherson officiating, assisted by Rev. Gordon Rigby. Burial will be in Simpson's Corner Cemetery.
