Bernice R. Meisner 1986 Halifax Chronicle Herald Handwritten date: September 26, 1986. Bernice Ruth Meisner, 84, New Germany, died Friday at Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. Born at Upper Branch, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Ada (Beck) Beck. She was a past member of the Lutheran Women's Association. She is survived by her husband, Carmen Stephen Meisner, Sr.; a daughter, June (Mrs. Warren Connell), Bridgetown; two sons, Atwood and Carmen, Jr., both of New Germany; two sisters, Helen (Mrs. Wallace Naas), Auburndale; Lorna Zinck, Bridgewater; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by two sisters, Flossie and Louetta; two brothers, William and Moyle; and two grandchildren. The body is in Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at Trinity Lutheran church, New Germany, Rev. Richard Weaver officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. (Her husband's given name is spelled Carmon on the tombstone.)
