Fro mthe collection of Gwen Christie Robert Morgan "Bob" Zinck - passed away after a brief illness in Dartmouth General Hospital at age 83. Born at Bridgewater to Mary Lois Dauphinee and Sydney Mervin Zinck. Loving husband of 52 years to Ann Myrtle "Rusty". Dear father to David of Dartmouth; Peter(Tracy) of Kitchener, Ontario; Janice (Glen) of Ottawa; Beth Melvin (Jim) of Dartmouth. Proud grandfather to Jordan, Noah, Matthew, Alex, Hailey, Ian, Talia, Mitchell, and Amanda. Survived by his twin sister, Margaret "Peggy" MacKay. Bob retired as Major in the Canadian Air Force in 1984. He was an avid golfer, tennis, and badminton player. He enjoyed bridge, gardening, cooking, and painting. He was a member of Oakfield Golf and Country Club in Nova Scotia and Big Cypress Golf and Country Club in Lakeland, Florida. Friends may call at Atlantic Funeral Home, Dartmouth Chapel, 771 Main Street, on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. A private family burial will be held in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. If desired, remembrances may be made to the Special Olympics.
