OBIT # 5209 - EVENING NEWS - 12 FEBRUARY 1946: Stellarton, Feb.12- The death occured on Tuesday, Feb.5th, of MARY THERESA MacDONALD, wife of the late MR.JOHN SINCLAIR (TAT) at the home of her daughter, MRS WILLIAM HOWE, Foord St., Stellarton. She was the daughter of the late Mr.and Mrs.ANGUS MacDONALD. Born in Pugwash in 1862, she came with her parents to Stellarton when a child of six years, later going to Westville and when a young woman, married JOHN MATHESON SINCLAIR, living in Westville where their four children were brought up. In 1914 they moved to New Waterford where she resided until 1936 when she returned to Stellarton where she has lived with Mr.and Mrs.WILLIAM HOWE until her death. Mrs.Sinclair was a very good living woman, a general favorite with both young and old, made friends readily and had the happy faculty of retaining their friendship. She will be missed greatly especially by her family who were very devoted to her and everything in their power was done to make her suffering easier, but God intervened and called her higher. The funeral was held on Thursday, Feb.7th, from the home of her daughter, MRS. DAVID ROY, Asphalt Square, where a large crowd of sympathizing friends and relatives had assembled. Rev.R.D.MacIntosh assisted by Rev.M.Y.Fraser conducted the service and spoke words of comfort to the bereaved. Members of Sharon St.John Church Choir led in the singing of "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus" and Mrs.CLIFFORD ROSS sang"The Old Rugged Cross" as a solo. This was a favorite of the deceased. The profusion of beautiful flowers, spoke silently of the esteem in which she was held. Mrs.Sinclair was predeceased by her husband eleven years ago. Interment took place in Auburn Cemetery, Westville. The pall bearers were five grandsons and one great grandson, CLEM ROY, HEDLEY ROY, ROY BALFOUR, ROY ALBERT SINCLAIR, BILLY HOWE, and DOUGLAS ROY. Left to mourn are two daughters, ANNA (Mrs.David Roy), Alberta; Mrs.WILLIAM HOWE; JOHN SINCLAIR, Westville; and ANGUS SINCLAIR, Edmonton,Alta; also one sister, Mrs.ELLA STEWART, Westville and a brother, W. C. MacDONALD, Foord St., Stellarton; twelve grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren
