Wesley Arthur Francis Ernst 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Saturday, February 26, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Wesley Arthur Francis Ernst, 107, Blockhouse, died February 24, 2000, at home. Born January 13, 1893, in Clearland, he was a son of the late Obediah and Margaret (Keddy) Ernst. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, C. Edna (Aulenback) Ernst; daughters, Marion Wilneff and her husband Lester, Blockhouse; Norma Sawler and her husband Wilbert, Western Shore; Reanie Fraser and her husband Ted, Pembroke, Ontario; Beatrice Veinotte and her husband Margeson, New Cornwall; sons, Clarence and his wife June, Caledonia, Ontario; Franklyn and his wife Thelma, Dartmouth; Claude, Blockhouse; Burleigh and his wife Rosalie, Blockhouse; Welton, New Cornwall; 25 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughters, Jessie Wentzell and Alma Cottenden; sisters, Corella, Daisy, Margaret, Dorothy, and Glennie; brothers, Vincent, Ellis, Cecil, and Ainsley. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. Funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Monday in St. John's Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Val Henning officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Blockhouse. Flowers from the family only please.
