Mrs. Carl M. Russell 1961 Bridgewater Bulletin The funeral of the late Mrs. Vera Marie Russell of Simpson's Corner whose tragic death occurred suddenly in a car accident, on Saturday evening, was held from Epworth United Church, New Germany, on Tuesday, November 21st., at 2 p.m. The service was conducted by the Rev. P.S. MacDonald who gave a very comforting and sympathetic address. The hymns sung were "Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross" and "Abide With Me." The organist was Mrs. George Zwicker. Mrs. Russell was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Esli Woodworth of Simpson's Corner. She is survived by her husband, Carl M. Russell; a daughter, (Eveline), Mrs. Roger Varner; three sons, Maxwell, Bradford, and Edgar, all of New Germany. Also surviving are one sister, (Melva), Mrs. Earle Smith of Saugus, Mass.; two brothers, Elmer Woodworth of Lawrencetown; and Arnold Woodworth of Abington, Conn. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Hyson and Mrs. Meda Hyson, predeceased her.
