    3. UNKNOWN PAPER - 15 SEPTEMBER 1951 GORDON MACBURNIE - Tatamagouche - Many friends of this community were shocked to hear of the sudden death of Gordon MacBURNIE, early of Wednesday morning, September 12, following an attack of pneumonia. The deceased was a son of the late Christopher and Mary STEVENSON MacBURNIE and was born in River John in the year 1884. He was a very efficient barber here for several years and will be greatly missed by a wide circle of friends and relatives. His cheers greeting and smile will not soon be forgotten by his many friends. Besides his wife, Mrs. Flora TATTRIE MacBURNIE, he leaves to mourn three sons, Austin, at Tatamagouche, George at Hantsport, Gerald at North Sydney and one daughter, (Mabel) Mrs. Egbert CLIFFORD, New Glasgow, one sister, (Alice) Mrs. Leonard MINGO at Tatamagouche and a brother, James in the U.S.A. The funeral service, which was largely attended, was held from Sharon United Church on Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock and was conducted by Rev. G.W. BRUCE who spoke very fittingly from the words "Well done good and faithful servant". The choir led in the singing of three favorite hymns, "Asleep In Jesus," "Looking This Way", and "The Lord Is My Shepherd." The large attendance and the beautiful profusion of floral tributes, a token of sympathy to the bereaved gave silent testimony of the esteem in which he was held. Pall bearers were, D.R. BELL; W.R. BELL; Frank BUCKLER; A.D. COLBURN; Laurence KENNEDY and D.A. ROSS. Interment was in the Sharon United Church Cemetery.
