Nellie Margaret Westhaver 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Saturday, February 5, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Nellie Margaret Westhaver, 85, Halifax, died February 3, 2000, in Melville Lodge, Halifax. Born at Fox Point, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Jack "John" and Lottie (Coolen) Barkhouse. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was a long-time employee of the Lord Nelson Hotel. Surviving are daughter, Nancy Simundson, Knora, Ontario; sons, Lloyd, Halifax; Mark, Fox Point; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a number of brother and sisters; one great-grandchild. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral service 10 a .m. Monday, both in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Halifax. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Hubbards.
