Carmen Stephen Meisner 1990 Halifax Chronicle Herald Handwritten date: September 4, 1990. Carmen Stephen Meisner, 92, New Germany, died Tuesday in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. Born at Branch LaHave, he was a son of the late Isaac and Eliza (Whynot) Meisner. He was a farmer and millworker at Zwickers' Mill. He was a veteran of the First World War, life member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 102, New Germany. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany. He is survived by a daughter, June (Mrs. Warren Connell), Bridgetown; two sons, Atwood, Carmon, both of New Germany; a brother, Stuart, Stanley Section; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Bernice Beck; four sisters, Elva, Edith, Alice, an infant; three brothers, Elwood, Winston, Arnold; two grandchildren. The body is in Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Rev. Robert Robb officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, New Germany. Donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
