Olivia Florence Himmelman 1977 Bridgewater Bulletin Mrs. Olivia Florence Himmelman, 80, wife of the late John D. Himmelman, Crousetown, passed away October 13, 1977, at the Dawson Memorial Hospital, Bridgewater. Born at New Cumberland, she was the former Olivia Florence Wamback, daughter of the late Nathaniel and Salome (Corkum) Wamback. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Church, Crousetown, and a member of the Women's Group of St. Andrew's. She served as postmistress for 44 years in the Crousetown area and owned and operated a grocery store for more than 50 years in Crousetown. Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy, Dayspring; two sons, Lester and Gerald, both of Crousetown; a step-daughter, Violet (Mrs. Gilbert Clattenburg), Kingston; two sisters, Mrs. Violet Floyd, Montreal; Mrs. Evangeline Meisner, Lake Centre; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband; an infant daughter, Marguerite; a son, Ernest; a brother, Starratt; and a sister, Mary. The funeral service was held from St. Andrew's United Church, Crousetown on Saturday October 15, at 2 p.m. Rev. Marilyn Carter officiated. Hymns sung were "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and "By Cool Salome." Organist was Mrs. Margaret Crouse. Pallbearers were Owen Ramey, Graham Rains, Donald Bolivar, Brian Kaulback, David Ramey, and Richard Crouse.
