Doris Veinot 1940 Bridgewater Bulletin The community of Springfield was shocked to hear of the passing of Doris, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Veinot, on Sunday morning, April 28th., at the early age of thirteen years and eleven months. Doris had a bright and sunny disposition and was a favourite with all. She was sick only a week and hopes were held for her recovery, until a few hours before she died. She leaves to mourn their loss, her sorrowing ; one sister, Winnie; three brothers, Alex, Franklin, and Burton Jr. The funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at the Springfield Baptist Church, and was conducted by the Rev. A.F. Hubley. Hymns sung were, "There is a Land that is Fairer than Day," "What A Friend we Have in Jesus," and "Jewels."
