Bernice Helen Goodwin 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald Bernice Helen Goodwin, 77, Halifax, died May 24, 2007, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born at Brass Hill, Shelburne County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Pauline (Harding) Penney. Bernice retired from the Halifax Infirmary as the Director of Volunteer Services. She was a former member of the Kinette Clubs of Halifax, Fredericton, Moncton, St. John's and Ottawa. She was also a member of the Canadian Directors of Volunteers in Health Care and the Nova Scotia Association of Volunteer Directors. She was a member of the Jean Hogan Unit of the United Church Women and an Elder at Rockingham United Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond R. She is survived by her daughters, Susan, Bridgewater; Judi (Gerald ) Kedy, Halifax; son, Allan (Suzanne), Calgary; and her much-loved grandchildren, Erin and Scott Kedy, Halifax; Kelsey, Andrew, Jillian, and Timothy Goodwin, Calgary; Jason Kedy, Dartmouth; brother, Gerald (Judy) Penney, Bridgewater; several nephews and a niece. A thoughtful and caring person, always supportive of family and friends, she touched the lives of many. She will be always remembered and sadly missed. Arrangements to be made by J.A.
