Mrs. Samuel Meisner 1950 Bridgewater Bulletin Friends will learn with regret of the sudden passing of one of New Germany's highly respected citizens, Mrs. Samuel Meisner, at her home on the evening of January 11th. Mrs. Meisner, who was in her 87th. year, was very alert for one of that advanced age, and was up and about as usual. Death came suddenly as she was preparing to retire for the night. Of a quiet and kindly nature, she was well liked by all who knew her. Before marriage, Mrs. Meisner was Miss Mary Ramey, daughter of the late Samuel Ramey and Sarah Kelley Ramey of Bridgewater. She was the last surviving member of that family. Her husband predecased her several years ago. She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy, of the staff of A.&M Bell, Ltd., Halifax; three sons, Harold in Saskatchewan; Ralph in British Columbia; and Frank, at home. There is one granddaughter. The funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at St. John's Anglican Church, conducted by the rector, Rev. W.R. Martell. The pall bearers were Horton Chesley, Laurie Hamm, Milton and Roger Varner. The floral offerings were beautiful, a silent tribute to the departed.
