Fred Harris Lowe, 91, Simpson's Corner, formerly of Chipman, New Brunswick, died Thursday in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born at New Germany, he was a son of the late John and Samantha (Ernst) Lowe. He was a veteran of both the First and Second World Wars. He is survived by a daughter, Doris (Mrs. Arthur Bell), Chipman; his companion, Stella Mabel Snyder, Simpson's Corner; four sisters, Arlene Snyder, New Minas; Mildred Mader, Laverne(Mrs. Clyde Zinck), both of Chester; Goldie Veinot, Simpson's Corner; four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Irene Bishop; three sisters, Linda, Ina, Alvida; five brothers, Elwin, Lawton, Murray, Carman, Glen. The body is in R.A. Corkum's Funeral Home, Wileville, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Simpson's Corner United Church, Pastor Archie Leach officiating. The body will be transferred to Chipman for burial at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Simpson's Corner United Church or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
