Alfred Glenn Turner 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Monday, January 17, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Alfred Glenn Turner, 71, Lake Ramsey, New Ross, died January 15, 2000, in South Shore Regional Hospital. Born at Lake Ramsey, he was a son of the late Harry and Ruth (Turner) Turner. He worked in the trucking industry all of his life. He was a member of the Christ Anglican Church, New Ross. He enjoyed bingo, card playing, and had keen interest in ox pulls in the exhibition in New Ross. He helped in the community work for the area of New Ross. Surviving are his wife, the former Sylvia Russell; son, John, New Ross; daughters, Frances Keddy, New Ross; Peggy Turner, Chester Basin; Glenda Turner, Victoria, B.C.; Denise Saunders, South Porcupine, Ontario; brother, Malcolm, Collingwood, Ontario; sisters, Violet Mallet, Collingwood; Thelma Daniels, Chester Basin; Fannie Kenny, Sheet Harbour; six grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother, Gorson; sister, Ethel. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, New Ross. Funeral 10 a.m. Tuesday in Christ Anglican Church, New Ross, Rev. Gordon Neish officiating. Burial in Anglican Church Cemetery, New Ross. In lieu of flowers, donations to Christ Anglican Church Cemetery.
