    3. UNKNOWN PAPER - 3 NOVEMBER 1959 EMMA MAE STUDIVAN - One of East New Annan's oldest residents, Mrs. Emma Mae STUDIVAN passed away at Lillian Fraser Hospital, October 11. She had suffered from a broken hip several months ago, due to a fall in her home. However she retained her cheerfulness to all her friends through her suffering which she bore with great patience and Christian fortitude. Mrs. STUDIVAN was 88 years of age and was the foster daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. WILSON, Central New Annan. Her late husband, Norman was a well known farmer. He predeceased her 12 years ago. An infant daughter also predeceased her. Mrs. STUDIVAN was loved by all who knew her and was noted for her hospitality in her home and her pleasing personality. She is survived by daughters (Alice) Mrs. Almon HINGLEY; (Eunice) Mrs. Dewey JOUDREY; (Lina) Mrs. David CROWE and sons, Russell of Truro and Willis at home. There are also several grand children and great grand children. The funeral service was held at Tatamagouche Mountain United Church October 13 conducted by Rev. Gordon DECKER, assisted by Rev. W.N. BYERS, both of West New Annan. Hymns sung by the choir were "What a Friend We have in Jesus", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "The Lord's My Shepherd". Pall bearers were Earl MacNUTT, Alex MacDONALD, J.W. SUTHERLAND, Dewey JOUDRY, Ernest BLACKMORE and Newton HINGLEY. Interment was at Tatamagouche Mountain Cemetery.
