OBIT # 5519 - EASTERN CHRONICLE - JANUARY 27, 1942 HOWARD H. HECKMAN - NEW GLASGOW - The death of HOWARD H. HECKMAN well known citizen of this town for the past 41 years occured suddently on Saturday January 25th,. The deceased had been in good health until two days before his death and the end came with startling suddenness. News of his decease came as a distinct shock to his many friends with whom he had associated both in buisness and pleasure for many years. Born in Lunenburg, N.S.. 66 years ago, he came to New Glasgow in 1900 and since then he had been a well known figure in buisness and social circles of the community. He was a valued member of Albion Lodge and Mt.Lebanon Chapter Royal Arch Masons. His cheerful nature won him a host of friends and those who knew him intimately will miss his presence greatly. Surviving are his widow and two sons, GEORGE of Providence and CLARKE HECKMAN, training for a radio technician of the R.C.A.F. was called home on Saturday by the sudden death of his father, the late Mr. H.H. Heckman. Clarke returned to his duties yesterday afternoon
