OBIT # 5542 - EASTERN CHRONICLE - 5 MARCH 1942 MRS. STELLA MAHONEY: - We regret to record the death on Wednesday morning in her 54th year of MRS. THOMAS B. MAHONEY of Nelson Street. The deceased was, before her marriage, STELLA MacARTHUR, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. JAMES MacARTHUR and possesed, through her happy personailty, a host of friends, who will grieve with her bereaved family, for her passing. She was a staunch friend, a kind neighbour, a beloved wife and mother and a devoted member of the Catholic Church. In her immediate family she is mourned by her husband, one daughter, MARGARET (Mrs.Owen MacLaren) and two sons, JAMES at home and THOMAS in the army. One sister, HELEN and two brothers ANGUS and JAMES survive and four sisters, ISABEL, MARGARET, ANNIE and FRANCES predeceased her.
