Guy M. Demond 1966 Bridgewater Bulletin Funeral service for the late Guy Milton Demond of Upper New Cornwall was held April 6th., 1966, at the United Church of New Cornwall. Rev. Eric Miner officiated. The choir and congregation combined in singing the hymns,"Rock of Ages" and "Blest Be the Tie that Binds." Mr. James Silver accompanied them by playing the organ. Six members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 102, New Germany, were pall bearers. They were Milton Varner, George DeLong, John Mader, Robert Emino, Clifton Sleep, and Oswald Russell. All Legion members attending conducted a short service at the graveside. Mr. Demond is survived by his wife, the former Alice Cuthbertson of Apple River; one daughter, Susie (Mrs. Ronnie Grimm), New Cornwall; four sons, Sgt. John M, Gnr. Sidney G., both of Winnipeg; William and Rodger, of Cornwall. A daughter and son by a previous marriage, Mrs. Mary Illingworth, Mass.; and George of Upper New Cornwall; one sister, Mary (Mrs. Reginald MacKay), Upper Northfield; two brothers, Stuart of River Hebert; and Thomas, Livermore Falls, also survive. Interment was at Union Square Cemetery.
