    3. UNKNOWN PAPER - JANUARY 1950 EDWIN C. MACLELLAN - Prominent Native of Tatamagouche Passes - Many friends and relatives throughout the Province and U.S.A. were shocked to hear of the passing on 24 December 1949, of one of our highly esteemed citizens, Edwin C. MacLELLAN, who for the past few months had been residing with his daughters. Misses Isabel and Maud MacLELLAN, Kentville. The deceased was 81 years of age, and had been in failing health for the past few years. He was the son of the late Timothy MacLELLAN and Margaret MacINTOSH and was born at Greenville, Cumberland County. He was a very prominent and efficient merchant and funeral director in this community for several years, and a faithful superintendent of Sharon Sunday School for 25 years. The funeral service was held from Sharon United Church at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday, December 28. Rev. G.W. BRUCE conducted the service, assisted by former pastors, Rev. W.G. DAVIS, Hantsport and Rev. Lloyd MacLELLAN, New Glasgow. Favorite hymns were sung by Choir also a solo, "Shadows", by Roland LANGILLE. Surviving are two daughters, Misses Isabel and Maud MacLELLAN, Kentville, two sons, Dr. Allister MacLELLAN, Dr. Fred MacLELLAN both of Pelham, New York, and one brother, Charles K. MacLELLAN, Tatamagouche. The pall bearers were members of the session J.J. CREIGHTON, Roy LANGILLE, E.H. LANGILLE, Arthur MALCOLM, W.M. NELSON and F.E. WEATHERBEE. Interment was in Sharon United Church cemetery.
