Born in Toronto, she was a daughter of the late Annie and William Cresswell. She was an active member with the Children's Aid Society and was a foster mother, known as Mom, to many children. She worked with the Canadian Red Cross Society. Surviving are her husband, Charles; sons, Robert, Mountain, Ontario; Charles Jr., Dundas, Ontario; Adam, Waterford; daughter, Charlett (Mrs. LeRoy Aulenback), Springfield; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose (Mrs. Frank Gillin), Galt, Ontario; Doris Middleton, Keswick, Ontario; brothers, Wesley, Acton, Ontario; Albert, Hepworth, Ontario. She was predeceased by a brother, William; sister, Lillian. Funeral was held August 16 in J.B. Mariatt Funeral Home, Dundas. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Colptown, Ontario. Donations to Children's Aid Society or Canadian Red Cross Society.
