Florence Leah Dowding 1970 Bridgewater Bulletin Mrs. Florence Leah Dowding, 71. New Germany, passed away March 21st, at the Dawson Memorial Hospital, Bridgewater. She was the former Florence Leah Bryant, only daughter of the late William and Leah March (Hiltz) Bryant of Halifax. She was twice married; her first husband being the late George R. Christopher of Bridgewater and Halifax. By this union she is survived by one son, Donald, of Halifax; and one daughter, Dolores (Mrs. Everette Slauenwhite Jr.), New Germany. Her second husband, Lional H. Dowding, passed away in 1955. The funeral service was held from the St. John's Anglican Church with Rev. James Purchase officiating. Interment was in the United Church Cemetery, New Germany.
