    3. UNKNOWN PAPER - 12 AUGUST 1952 MAJOR HAROLD LEROY CASSIDY - Tatamagouche - Major Harold Leroy CASSIDY, proprietor of Tatamagouche Inn died suddenly Saturday evening. He was the son of Robert Victor Cassidy and Alice (Barnes) Cassidy. Following fine service in the First World War, Major CASSIDY settled in New Glasgow where he was associated with R. MacGregor & Sons. Later he went for them to Halifax and during the Second World War he served in civilian capacity in Newfoundland. It was after that he purchased Tatamagouche Inn and settled there in his hometown where he took an active part in Board of Trade work and in promoting the general interests of the Sunrise Trail district. He was on several delegations pressing for paving at Halifax. He is survived by his widow, the former Grace MacINNES of Halifax; and two sons, Robert in Korea and Ronald with TCA in Halifax. He is also survived by three sisters, among them Mrs. J.E. MacDONALD of River John. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock in Tatamagouche. The Canadian Legion will have charge.
