Zenas Mossman 1943 Kingsburg, July 13- One of the oldest and most highly respected residents of this place, Zenas Mossman, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Risser, early Sunday morning, at the age of 88 years. Mr. Mossman was the only surviving member of a family of five born to Mr. and Mrs. David Mossman of Upper Kingsburg. He lived his entire life in that village by the sea from which he gained his livelihood as a fisherman in his early years. Later he worked his farm. Mr. Mossman was of a kind and genial disposition, loved, and respected by all who knew him, a devout member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Rose Bay, covering the distance of three miles on foot to attend Sunday worship. The past few years, when health was failing, he resided with his only remaining daughter and son-in-law, Captain and Mrs. Frank Risser, where he was tenderly cared for during his recent illness. His wife, formerly Miss. E. Mossman, of Kingsburg, died a year ago. There survives, beside a daughter, four grandchildren. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the home of Captain and Mrs. Risser. Rev. J.A. Grant of the Presbyterian Church, conducted the service, assisted by Rev. W.K.Pace of Trinity United Church. Interment was in the family plot at Kingsburg Cemetery.
