Kendall Gordon Spurr 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Saturday, February 26, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Kendall Gordon Spurr, 61, of Bridgetown, passed away peacefully, supported by his family, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, after a brief illness. Born at Kempt, Queens County, he was a son of the late Gerald and Myrtle (Luxton) Spurr. Kendall was a driver-salesman for 34 years at Maritime Beverages and Pepsi-Cola Canada. He enjoyed his work delivering pop from Lequille to Coldbrook. His favourite days were spent at Milbury Lake with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, the former Alberta Taylor; his daughters, Katheryn (Wayne) Balcom, Brickton; Kimberly (Gary) Wright, Halifax; Kelly Spurr and Edward Bent, Tupperville; Karen (Dale) Cross, Clarence; grandchildren, Mitchell and Monica Balcom, Lindsay and Stephen Wright, Jordin Cross and Shelby Spurr; sisters, Geraldine Penney, Kingston, Ontario; Dorothy Butler, Allain's Creek, Annapolis County; brothers, Darrell, Oakhill and Elwood, Digby. He was predeceased by sisters, Edith Clarke and Maxine Clarke. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 27, in Robert L. Hall Funeral Home, Bridgetown. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Paradise Cemetery, Paradise. No flowers by request. Donations in his memory may be made to Centennial Swimming Pool, Bridgetown.
