Born in Bristols Hope, Newfoundland, he was a son of the late Harold Sr. and Alice (Purcell) Forward. Surviving are sons, Wayne, Lunenburg; Kenneth, Newburne; daughter, Cynthia Drover, Upper Island Cove, Newfoundland; brothers, Harold, Lunenburg; Ray, Bridgewater; Austin, Riverport; Earl, Beaver Bank; sister, Doreen Skinner, Riverport; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Violet Neil; a son and a daughter in infancy; brothers, Les, Ross, Kevin; sisters, Isabelle, Phoebe. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday in St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg, Rev. Irving Letto officiating. Burial in St. Matthew's Anglican Cemetery, Upper LaHave.
