Zacharias Kaulback Handwritten date: November 26, 1940. New Germany, November 29- The death occurred at Rumford, Maine, on Tuesday, November 26, of Zacharias Kaulback, a native of Maplewood, who for the last two years had been residing at the home of his son, Lloyd, in that city. The body was brought home and burial was made in the cemetery at Parkdale on Friday afternoon. Mr. Kaulback was born at Foster's Settlement (now Parkdale) 74 years ago, son of the late Edward and Sarah (Varner) Kaulback. Of this family, surviving members are three brothers, Samuel of Falkland Ridge; Obediah of Maplewood, and Wellington of Weld, Maine; and four sisters, Ellie, widow of William Banks, Maplewood; Alice, widow of Thomas Weldon, Lawrence, Mass.; Victoria, widow of Havelock Jacques, Seattle; and Elizabeth, wife of Judson Wentzell ,Turner, Mass. In his immediate family, there remain his wife, before marriage Nora Wentzel, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Wentzel of Maplewood, herself being seriously ill in hospital at Rumford; and seven sons and one daughter of the nine children born to them. The sons are Elmer of Maplewood; Laurie, Theodore, and Lloyd of Rumford; Frank of Long Island, New York; Willis of Rockland of Rockland, Kings County; and Orman of Berwick; and the daughter is Goldie, wife of Morley Wentzel of Rumford. Another daughter, Susie, died in early childhood.
