Friends will regret to learn of the death of Mrs. Hurdie Lantz of New Germany, that occurred on Saturday at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, where she had been a patient for the past five weeks. Born at New Germany, 51 years ago, she was formerly Eva Beatrice, daughter of Mrs. Justin Gates (Ida Spurr) and the late Justin Gates. She is survived by her husband; her mother; five daughters, Dorothy, Mrs. Ira Langille, New Germany; Ruth, Mrs. Bradford Lohnes, Mulgrave; Muriel, Mrs. Joseph Slauenwhite, Stanburn; Rhoda, Mrs. Reginald Tupper, St. Margaret's Bay; Audrey of Halifax; and one son, Kenneth with the Mersey Paper Company, French Village; also one sister, Nellie, Mrs. Oliver Darcy, Reviere, Mass. Funeral services will be held from the United Church of Canada, New G, on Tuesday, February 16, conducted by Rev. Frank Locke, pastor of the Baptist Church. Interment will be in the new community cemetery.
