    3. UNKNOWN PAPER - 1976 JOHN WILLIAM BAILLIE and KENNETH JAMES BLENKHORN - Boat Overturns, 2 Die. Tatamagouche - Two former Tatamagouche men, whose bodies were recovered Tuesday afternoon from Mattatall Lake following a boating accident Sunday, were buried here Wednesday. Nine RCMP officers from Tatamagouche, Halifax and Truro took part in a two-day dragging-and-diving operation for John William BAILLIE, 29, of Sydney, and Kenneth James BLENKHORN, 35, of Truro, who drowned when the 12-foot aluminum boat they were in overturned on the lake, about 10 miles south of here. Police could offer no explanation of how the accident occurred in calm waters. Mr. BLENKHORN was born in Tatamagouche, the son of Wallace and Leveta (FISHER) BLENKHORN. Besides his parents, he leaves three daughters, Edwina, Sheila and Sherry Ann at home; four sisters, Roxella (Mrs. Lloyd McGILL), Truro; Mary (Mrs. Bill HOLLOWAY), Aulder Pt., Cape Breton; Ruth (Mrs. Walter ARNESALL), Tatamagouche; and Stella (Mrs. John BAILLIE), Tatamagouche; four brothers, David, Cecil and Edward, Tatamagouche; and Walter of Truro. The funeral took place at Coulter's Funeral Home here, with Rev. Gordon MATHESON officiating. Burial was in West Tatamagouche Cemetery. Mr. BAILLIE was buried in Willow Church cemetery here following funeral services at Coulter's Funeral Home. Born in Tatamagouche, he was the son of Lloyd and Jackie (HAYDEN) BAILLIE. Besides his parents and wife (the former Stella BLENKHORN), he leaves a son William John and two daughters, Patricia Ann and Gwendolyn Margaret, all at home; a paternal grandmother, Mrs. Bessie BAILLIE, Tatamagouche; a brother, Dr. Robert BAILLIE, Sydney; three sisters, Margaret, Halifax; Mary, at home; and Marilyn, Truro. He was predeceased by two brothers.
