    3. UNKNOWN PAPER - 31 MARCH 1949 JAMES B. TUCKER - Tatamagouche Mountain, March 31 1949 - The funeral of the late James B. TUCKER, who passed away quietly in his sleep at the home of his youngest son, Harold at Central New Annan, on March 27, was held from the church at Tatamagouche Mountain, of which he was a valued member on March 30 at 1.30 p.m. It was largely attended by relatives and friends who gathered to pay their last respects to one who was well and favorably known. He was married at Newton Highlands Mass., to Matilda CAHILL and made their home there for a few years, then moving to Oliver, N.S., where he was a prosperous farmer. He was a great lover of outdoor life and spent nearly every winter in the woods; for many years as Woods Boss. He was a member of the Orange Order. His wife predeceased him on February 10, 1936, and he spent much of his time with his daughter Mrs. Charles TEED of Belmont lately, although he returned to this community on March 10 and visited with his sons and sister Mrs. Mary BAILLIE of Tatamagouche. Rev. Eric COFFIN, his pastor, spoke fittingly of his love of family and church and his quiet manner. The choir under the leadership of the organist, Mrs. Fred LANGILLE rendered favorite hymns "The Lord's My Shepherd" "In the Sweet By and By" and "Meet Me There." His survivors are the eldest daughter (Gladys) Mrs. Maurice FORAN of Newton, Mass.; (Lavinia) Mrs. Charles TEED of BELMONT; Walter, of Tatamagouche Mountain; Harry James of Oliver; Bruce of Tatamagouche; Harold, of Central New Annan. There are 15 grand children and five great grandchildren. One sister Mrs. Mary BAILLIE and one brother George TUCKER. Another brother Arthur predeceased him three months ago. He was laid to rest in the family plot at Tatamagouche Mountain Cemetery. Pall bearers were nephews of the deceased and one neighbor, Merle and Aubrey TUCKER, Hugh and Gordon BAILEY, George GREY and Len LANGILLE. Floral tributes were beautiful. His services to his family will remain forever in our hearts,
