UNKNOWN PAPER - 5 DECEMBER 1962 WILLIAM MACRAE - Upper North River - The body of the late William MacRAE was found Monday morning, November 19 after an extensive search. Mr. MacRAE had gone hunting Saturday about noon and failed to return in the evening. Searchers were out Sunday and again Monday until the body was found. Mr. MacRAE was born in Nuttby, the son of the late Isaac MacRAE and Mrs. MacRAE, and he would have been 47 years old in December. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by four sons, Hollis of Bible Hill, Sterns, Carl and Sterling and one daughter Audrey at home. A daughter Joyce predeceased him 13 years ago. Four brothers, Harvey of Tatamagouche Mountain, John of Truro, Norman of Nuttby, Ernest of Upper North River; a sister Emma (Mrs. Hoffman MacQUARRIE), of Central North River and a half-brother, Newton of Onslow Mountain also survive. The largely attended funeral was held from Mattatall's Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon, Rev. George P. ALLEN officiating. A solo "Sometime We'll Understand" was sung by Mr. Allen.
