UNKNOWN PAPER - 6 JUNE 1955 SIC JOHN DAVID WILSON - Central New Annan - The community was shocked and saddened on Saturday, June 4, by the sudden death of John David WILSON at Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche, in his 82nd year. He was of a genial, kindly nature, beloved by a large circle of friends and neighbors, always happy when singing the old favorite hymns with the younger group and choir, of which he was a valued member for many years. He was a staunch supporter of the Baptist Church and life-long resident of New Annan, being the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert WILSON of Central New Annan. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Blanche COCK, several years, also two sisters, (Mary) Mrs. John SWAN, Denmark, and (Lizzie), Mrs. John SIMPSON, Mass, U.S.A., and two brothers, Seldon and William of Oliver. He leaves to mourn their loss two sons, Aubrey and Ted, Central New Annan, and two grandchildren, also one brother, Robert, of Denmark. The funeral was held in the Baptist Church, Central New Annan, on Monday, June 6, at 2 p.m. Rev. A.E. TODD, Wentworth, officiating, assisted by Rev. R.L. WAGNER, West New Annan. Hymns sung were by the choir were "The Lord's My Shepherd", "My Jesus I Love Thee" and "In The Sweet Bye and Bye". The flowers were many and beautiful, testifying to the esteem in which the deceased was held. The pall bearers, all nephews, were Robert WILSON, Denmark, Hedley WILSON, Oliver, Dan COCK and Keith COCK, Central New Annan, Casson and Seldon SWAN, Middleton. Interment was in Bell Gift cemetery, West New Annan.
