Zenas Hirtle 1914 Progress Enterprise Published: August 5, 1914. On Monday, during the heavy thunderstorm, Mr. Zenas Hirtle of Kingsburg was returning from the fishing grounds and as his boat neared the shore, appearance showed something was wrong. Some persons went out in another boat and discovered the lifeless body of Mr. Hirtle in the boat. It is not known if he was struck by lightning or death was caused by heart failure. He leaves a widow, three daughters, and one son, and was 66 years of age.
