Mrs. John Baker 1928 Progress Enterprise Published: July 18, 1928. The death occurred at the home of her son, Herman, at Farmington, on Wednesday afternoon, July 4, of Eliza, widow of John Baker. Mrs. Baker was 69 years old, a longtime resident of Farmington and very highly respected. Her death followed a long illness. She was the last surviving member of the family of the late Ephraim and Mrs. Spidel. Her husband predeceased her by 27 years. She is survived by three daughters and four sons. The daughters are Lizzie, Mrs. John Durkee, Boston; Gladys, Mrs. J. Woodrow, Truro; and Miss Frances, of Winnipeg. The sons are Silas, living in the united States; Hiram, Orman, and Harry of Farmington. The deceased was Baptist in religion. The funeral service was from her late home on Friday. Rev. H.Hutchinson officiated. Interment was in the cemetery at Barss Corner.
