Cedric Clarence Tanner 2009 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Wednesday, July 8, 2009. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Cedric Clarence Tanner, 85, Halifax, formerly of Stonehurst, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2009, in the VG Site, QEII. Born at Blue Rocks, he was the son of the late Ralph and Nellie(Greek) Tanner. Before retirement Cedric worked at National Sea Products and the Halifax Shipyards. He is survived by his sister, Eileen Tanner, Stonehurst; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth "Sis" (Drysdale); brother-in-law, Hazen Tanner. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Spryfield. By request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 9, at 2 p.m. in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville. Donations in Cedric's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
