Frank Ross Rafuse 1982 Bridgewater Bulletin Frank Ross Rafuse, 84, of Parkdale, died Saturday, February 13, 1982, in Lakeview, Halifax County. Born at Parkdale, he was a son of the late Hezekiah and Deliah (Wentzell) Rafuse. He was a farmer most of his life. He was a a veteran of the First World War and a prisoner of war for 18 months. He is survived by six daughters, Rita Margaret, Niles, Illinois; Angeline Irene (Mrs. Earl MacDonald), Dartmouth; Rolla Belle, Ottawa; Winnie Roberta (Mrs. Robert Evanson), DePlains, Illinois; Betty Ann (Mrs. Murray Eisnor), Lakeview; Connie Dianne (Mrs. Jacob Penney Jr.), New Germany; seven sons, Maxwell Churchill, Robie Randolph, Gerald Arleigh, and Frank Ivan, all of Parkdale; Thomas Alfred, Sydney; Calvin Alden, Upper Northfield; and Donald George, Dartmouth; 31 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Sadie Mae Falkenham; three sisters, Jennie, Blossom, and Ruby; two brothers, Reginald and Ralph. The funeral was in Emmanuel Baptist Church, Parkdale, 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Malcolm Beckett officiating. Burial was in Parkdale - Maplewood Cemetery. Donations were made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart Fund.
