Born at Bear Point, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Cassie (Veinot) Shand. She was a member of the Wesley United Church, Barrington. She is survived by sons, Roger (Marlene), Indian Harbour; Clinton (Jean), Tantallon; daughter, Ruth (Malcolm) Swim, Halifax; brothers, Gerald, Cole Lake, Alberta; Lawrence, Sumner, Bear Point; James, Lockeport; sisters, Laura Smith Bear Point; Pauline Forward, Halifax; Geraldine Williams, Dartmouth; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Burnley; son, John; brother, John; sisters, Anne, Marguerite, Mildred. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the H. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Barrington. Fuenral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in H. Huskilson's Memorial Chapel, Barrington, Rev. Pamela Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in the River Dale Cemetery, Riverhead. Memorial donationa may be made to the Wesley United Church, Our Place at the Roseway Manor, or Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia.
