Edward Arthur Lohnes 1972 Bridgewater Bulletin Edward Arthur Lohnes, 99, of New Germany, passed away, March 13, 1972, at the Dawson Memorial Hospital, Bridgewater, after a short illness. Born at Upper Northfield, son of the late John and Eliza Hunter Lohnes, he is survived by one daughter, Millie, Mrs. Ray Eisner, Brickton, Annapolis County, and one son, Guy, New Germany; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Ada, in 1968. Funeral service was held March 16th, from the Epworth United Church, New Germany, with the Rev. James Crooks officiating. Hymns sung were "The Lord's My Shepherd" and "Nearer, My God, to Thee." Pall bearers were Owen MacKay, Hubert MacKay, Gordon Chesley, and Harry Carver. Interment was in the United Church Cemetery, New Germany.
