UNKNOWN PAPER - MAY 1977 FRED D. HAMILTON, 81, of Tatamagouche, died Friday, May 13th, at home. Born in East New Annan, he was the son of the late Woodbury and Emma (NELSON) HAMILTON. He lived most of his life in Truro, where he was an elder of Brunswick Street United Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for more than 40 years, a member of the Curling Club, a veteran of the First World War and was retired from Texaco Oil Company for 17 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Florence HAYMAN; a son, Donald, Tatamagouche; a daughter, Arlene (Mrs. Ray FRANCIS), Bathurst, N.B.; three brothers, Rev. Dr. G.N. HAMILTON, Windsor; Sidney, Onslow; Leslie, Laconia, N.H.; and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former may BLAIR, two brothers and a sister. Funeral service was held Monday at 2 p.m. in Sharon United Church, Rev. Darrell METZLER officiating, assisted by Rev. Morley BENTLEY. Burial was in Tatamagouche Mountain cemetery.
