    3. Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Zinck 1965 Bridgewater Bulletin The passing of Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Zinck occurred at Hemford on January 14th. Mr. Zinck, 71, was born at Hemford, the son of the late Rufus and Julia (Veinot) Zinck. A veteran of World War I, he served with the 25th. Battalion in England, France, and Belgium. He was a member of New Germany Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 102 and of Hillcrest Lodge, No. 93. Mrs. Zinck,64, the former Alma Lina Silver, was born at Hemford, daughter of the late Austin and Bertha (Hirtle) Silver. She was a member of Hemford United Church at which she served as organist for many years and ws an active member of Hemford Women's Missionary Society. Surviving are two daughters, Marie (Mrs. Ralph Bell), of Dartmouth; and Sylvia (Mrs. Aubrey Ernest), of Spryfield; also two grandchildren. Mr. Zinck is also survived by three sisters, Blanche (Mrs. William Simpson); Flossie (Mrs. Gordon Simpson), Lillis (Mrs. August Krus); and one brother, Wilbert. One sister, Lydia, predeceased him. Mrs. Zinck is survived by one brother, Carroll Silver. A sister, Eva, predeceased her. Funeral service was held at Langille's Funeral Home, Barss Corner, with Rev. John Powell officiating. Interment was in Hemford Cemetery.
