Marion B. Freeman 2009 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Tuesday, July 7, 2009. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Marion B. Freeman, 90, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, on Sunday, July 5, 2009. Born at Milton, she was a daughter of the late William and Alma (Parnell) Turner. Marion was an active member of Trinity Anglican Church, as well as an active volunteer in her community for many years. She loved to bake as well as work in her gardens and enjoyed having her family around her. She was a charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Arbutus Chapter, No. 34, Milton. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Gerald) Leblanc of Gananoque, Quebec; sons, Donald (Anita) of Musquodoboit Harbour; Gordon (Charlene) of Milton; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband,Berkley; sister, Alma McKnight and her brother, Gerald. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 8, from 7-9 p.m. in Chandlers' Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 9, at 11 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Church, Liverpool, Rev. Donald Lawton officiating. Burial will be in Milton Community Cemetery. Fmaily flowers only.
